My learning goals

Maths
This week I have successful with a workshop on multiplying by 10's 100's 1000's.Earlier this week we got to chose a  math workshop to do, I chose Mrs Akkermans.  At first we watched a video about it then Mrs Akkerman did some questions that we worked out in our book, then we had to try and work them in our heads at first it was quite heard but then it got easier.


Writing
This week I went to a writing workshop and it was about revising and editing. Thats my writing goal,I think that I that workshop has helped me allot and know when I write and can edit it quick.   

My math goals.

This week I'v been focusing on my math goals.My maths goal is to use my place value knowledge when subtracting numbers.  Here's so of my working:

It was easy but sometimes when I tried one way it was quite challenging but I  just cared on  going and tried another way. 

My writing reflections week 8

At the moment I am learning about  sentence starter, by reading the sentience starter sheet that my teachers have given me. Here are some of them that I put in my writing:

conjunctions

yesterday I had writing work shop with Mrs Akkerman about conjunction. conjunctions are words that join two sentences so that it make it more interesting, here are some of the ones that I did:

The young boy reached out to touch the lizard, although the lizard scattered away.
The chameleon flicked out it's tongue,as though it was hoping for some after noon tea. 
The old lady poured a cup of tea, before she could catch up with her son and his family.

The yellow means it a conjunction, these are some subordinating conjunction:where, because, until, before, as though, although, after, since, as, so that, while and when.
And these are coordinating conjunctions,and, but and or.

A huge heat wave hit Australia!

              A hug heat wave hits Australia!


A hug heat wave hit new south wales Australia. Saturday the 10th of February, it was the hottest day ever. 
"As some one say it's like  opening an oven door."
Many people hit the beach, as the water was the only place to find relief.But with no sea breeze, the temperatures hit  47degc in some areas. Almost 40 people hospitalised with heat stroke, while 8 kids and a dozen pet were rescued from locked cars.
